  • Flo Rida's hit record 'Club Can't Handle Me ft. David Guetta' tells of an unforgettable night out, but the rapper knows that there's more to life than partying.

It may be hard to believe, but the man who made "apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur" part of our cultural lexicon is far more concerned with philanthropy than he is with what women wear to the club. "I just want to know why you always wear glasses," another female student said. "And can I see you without them?"

The Florida-born rapper obliged. Then he took questions. He explained how because of his mother's positive influence he steered clear of the drugs and violence that plagued his Carol City neighborhood. He said that naysayers urged him to "quit the rapping and get a real job," but he stayed focused on his goal, sacrificing everything, including girlfriends (cue excited murmurs from the crowd), for his dream.
